Fear's Chasm is a massive crevice in the side of a cliff face, to the southeast of New Moon's Rise, and northeast of the Blacklight Mountains.
Fear's Chasm is known to be a proving ground of sorts, for the locals, as well as a testing grounds for prospective Mages.
Inside, an exotic type of Elemental; the Fear Elemental; resides. These Elementals take on the viewer's most horrific fears, in an attempt to distract you long enough to devour you whole. This ghastly process has lead to countless deaths, and will, no doubt, lead to countless more.
The inside of the chasm is inky black, where torchlight barely pierces a half a meter in front of you, as if the darkness drinks the light. Because of this, it's hard to truly map out the crevice; a feat that no one has ever achieved.
